Devlog 1:Inspiration


This is a board game about the influence of emotion on people. The prototype of this game is developed from the prototypes of two team members. 

The idea of the theme of the game comes from Xintian’s prototype. Her original idea was to make a video game about people's emotional energy and the interplay of emotional energy between people.  

As the player moves through an enclosed space, he or she encounters various shapes of bumps around the game. These bumps simulate the emotions of different people in life, and different emotions carry different energies; the player needs to keep his energy stable during this chaotic energy. But it doesn't mean that all is well when the player is away from all the energy - it is easy to overdraw one's energy when staying alone for too long.  

This game’s theme is used in the game theme of Emotion Kills Emotion Heals. 


Part of the gameplay of the game refers to  Shuhong’s prototype. There is a checkered map in her prototype. Before starting to play, players need to layout the fish cards on the checkered map. All cards on the map are face up and look the same. The back of the card contains different points. Players walk to the corresponding square to flop to get the corresponding points. This mechanic is used in Emotion Kills Emotion Heals.
